Content: June 2025 marks 2 years since the Oak Lawn police allowed Leanne Cusack to leave the scene of the accident in which she killed Murod Kurdi. Join us as we support the Kurdi family & demand justice for Murod at our monthly protest of the Oak Lawn Police & Fire Commission Meeting. For years now, we have seen Oak Lawn Police violate the rights of Arabs and people of color, including the brutal beating of teenager Hadi Abuatelah in July 2022, and allowing drunk driver, Leanne Cusack, to leave the scene after killing Murod. The Oak Lawn Police & Fire Commission has used repression to stifle our calls for justice and protected criminal cops from accountability for their misconduct. Join AAAN, USPCN, CARPRR and others to protest the Oak Lawn Police and Fire Commission board meeting and demand Justice for Murod and his family.
