Session in Spanish on October 22 (see entry on that date).
Sesión en español el 22 de octubre (ver la entrada correspondiente a esa fecha).

Join the Chicago Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights for an immigration workshop on Filing Police Reports (In Chicago but could still be good to tune into if outside of Chicago- Kulis is willing to help Cook County at large). If you or someone you know experienced or witnessed violent misconduct from federal immigration agents, you can file a report with the Chicago Police Department, and they are required to investigate. At this workshop, learn best practices for documentation and providing evidence, legal and ethical considerations, and the importance of doing a risk assessment before reporting.

This workshop is designed to empower community members, rapid response, local businesses and other advocates to help immigrant families on the process of filing police if someone experienced or witness misconduct from federal immigration Enforcement. This event is in partnership with Attorney Brian Orozco of Kulis Law, and is supported by United African Organization, Indo-American Center, Family Focus, Metropolitan Family Services, Illinois Workers in Action, and the Illinois Venezuelan Alliance.
