🚨Calling all community members: Join us at our week-long Gaza Exhibit to honor the living, the martyrs, and the land. 🇵🇸 This October marks three years and over 1,000 days of ongoing genocide. From October 5-9, we will host various events. Together, we will remember our martyrs, honor our people’s sacrifices and steadfastness, and commit to continued struggle for the people, the prisoners, the martyrs, and land.

🖼️ From October 5-9th, there will be an exhibit open to the public which will feature a timeline of events since October 7th 2023 to strengthen our understanding of the current conditions faced by our people. It will also feature an interactive art build and resources to support meaningful action for Gaza and Palestine. The exhibit will be open to the public all week from 5-9pm at Beit Al Turaath.

💬 On Monday October 5th, the exhibit will open with a community discussion which will provide a space for reflection on the current moment and our role in it in diaspora & allow us to ground ourselves in our people’s practice of sumood. It will be a chance to sit with community members from all backgrounds and ages and hear their perspectives.

🎨 On Wednesday October 7th, we will be painting a banner and posters in preparation for the October 10th protest.

📚 On Friday October 9th, the exhibit will conclude with a book club and discussion of Wasim Said (@wasim__said)’s “Witness to the Hellfire of Genocide: A Testimony from Gaza.” Wasim Said is a Palestinian writer from Gaza who documented his experience of living through the ongoing genocide in Gaza in his book.
