The majority of Illinois’ public school districts are underfunded, including Chicago Public Schools—even though our state government promised we’d be at full funding by 2027.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is rolling out a new private school voucher program where billions will be sent to private schools that discriminate against students with disabilities, LGBTQ+ students, English-language learners and more—with the faint promise of some funds available for some public school students.

Come learn about what we can do as a community to get to fully-funded public schools for all kids in our city and state. We’ll be sending postcards to Governor Pritzker to ask him to take action to get us there.
