Content: 🇨🇺 To commemorate the life and legacy of revolutionary ancestor Assata Shakur, please join us for a screening and discussion of the documentary about her life in Cuba: ‘Eyes of the Rainbow.’ September 25, 2026 marks exactly one year since her passing. ✊🏿The 1997 documentary features an interview with Assata 33 years after her exile in Cuba, where she discusses her experience and escape as a prisoner in the U.S., African spirituality, and her life as a revolutionary. 💭We’ll host a discussion afterwards to explore what Assata taught us about being a Black woman revolutionary and Black liberation struggle today.
