Fri., Sept. 18, 4:30 p.m. CHICAGO: The @amermedicalassn still has not called for the immediate release of their colleague Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya despite countless reports of torture and violence against him. Protest their upcoming board meeting with us on Friday, September 18th outside of the AMA headquarters to demand they speak out for Dr. Abu Safiya! @dr.hussam73 was abducted by Israel in December of 2024 for refusing to abandon his patients in Gaza. In an attempt to directly and indirectly murder as many Palestinians as possible, Israel intentionally targets Palestinian doctors like Dr. Abu Safiya because of their ability to save lives during the Gaza genocide. The AMA must use their power and influence to speak up for Dr. Abu Safiya today!
