Content: 📚Join the Harsh Readers Circle on Saturday September 19th from 12 - 4pm for a reading and discussion of David Wright-Faladé's The New Internationals with the author. For 40 years the Harsh Readers Circle has been devoted to reading and discussing Black literature, inspired by the Book Review and Lecture Forum, the brainchild of Vivian Harsh. This month, dive into Wright Faladé’s latest novel The New Internationals, the circle’s September selection. 🗼Picture it: Paris, 1947. A love triangle that consists of a bourgeois French Jewish girl newly awakened to political commitment, an aspiring architect descended from the rulers of Dahomey, and a charming Black American GI. They meet in the post-war capital’s increasingly fraught, increasingly cosmopolitan stir. Things get complicated.
