Content: On August 13, Tyson announced they would be closing the Joslin plant and laying off over 2,500 workers. Workers, many being immigrants, who have spent years if not decades of their lives working at the plant and feeding our country are being treated as disposable by a corporation who has profits in the millions. SHAME! Tyson Workers United is not taking this passively, and we must do all we can to support that fight! On September 3rd, join hundreds of Joslin, IL workers and community members from across the states of Illinois and Iowa at the Springfield Illinois State Capitol Building for a rally at 12 p.m. and to deliver a petition to J.B. Pritzker to keep the Joslin plant open, repurpose it for continued use, and keep jobs in the Midwest!
