Join The Reader at Pilsen Community Books on Tuesday, August 25 for a free moderated panel and group discussion on The Politics of Public Space.

The panel includes Reader features writer Katie Prout, whose work focuses on addiction, homelessness, and the unique people who make this city the best in the world.

Reader news editor Shawn Mulcahy, who covers police, prosecutors, and prisons, will also join the panel. His writing has appeared in outlets including the Washington Post, the Guardian, and Bolts. He previously worked for the Texas Tribune and WFSU Public Media.
