Go beyond the notes and learn how your Documenter observations can become the foundation for community stories. We'll cover ethical interviewing and how to find the solutions your neighbors are already working on.

Participants will gain practical skills to amplify neighborhood voices and hold local institutions accountable through shorter-form community-driven journalism. This interactive workshop series aims to transform Documenters from civic record-keepers into community journalists who can bridge the gap between government proceedings and neighborhood impact! Join us for one or all of the workshops. Participants who attend all three workshops will receive a special badge on Documenters.org.

This virtual workshop series will be hosted on Zoom. Any Documenter from any community can join this event—regardless of where you are located or whether you’ve ever attended a training or taken an assignment.
