Please join us for this very special occasion to be with "movement mama" Mary L. Johnson, and to hear her and her son, Michael 'Dise' Johnson's insights from their 40+ year struggle for his freedom, and 54 year struggle against police torture.

We will also hear from special guest, Seth Donnelly, who was Mary L's 'running buddy' as director of the Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty in the '90's, and has long been involved in struggles against police brutality and to free political prisoners, and is co-founder of Taxpayers Against Genocide.

We'll get inspired to conspire!

Michael was one of the first persons to be tortured by Chicago police detective Jon Burge and other detectives, and Mary L was the first person known to have filed a complaint about it, in the early '70's.

Michael is one of dozens of imprisoned survivors of Chicago Police Torture. He and many others have applied for Executive Clemency from Gov JB Pritzker. Running for re-election, Pritzker expects the votes of his most loyal voters - Black Illinoisans - but has stopped granting clemencies. And that means refusing to reunite families, loved ones, and friends. And it means refusing to undo atrocious racial injustice.
