From Deir Samit to Evanston: A Report from a West Bank Village

Posted by Andy1917

Content:

The Palestinian village Deir Samit is about to be cut off from the outside world, due to the announcement and groundbreaking on 3 new illegal Israeli-only settlements surrounding it.

On April 11th, we will have the opportunity to hear directly from someone impacted and engaged in steadfast resistance. Join us for "From Deir Samit to Evanston: A Report from a West Bank Village," a conversation with Mona, moderated by local Jewish activists Lynn Pollack and Lesley Williams. Find out about conditions of life in the West Bank right now, and how Mona has kept dozens of families afloat these past few years through embroidery and gift sales. We'll also learn how places of worship, businesses, and groups can adopt Deir Samit as their sister village.
