Moderator Marguerite Horberg is the founder and Executive Director of HotHouse, one of the country's premiere presenters of Cuban culture. She has been travelling to Cuba since 1983, first with the Venceremos Brigade and now leading many HotHouse trips each year. Speakers Maggie Sivit Maggie S. is a Cuban-American multimedia journalist living in Chicago. Eric Torres is a Cuban-American filmmaker living in Chicago. Jhonathan F. Gómez is Co-Director · Chicago Religious Leadership Network on Latin America (CRLN). He is also a human rights defender, documentary photographer, artist, educator, and father from Guatemala City. Dr. Christina Perez is an activist-scholar specializing in Latin America and gender, with a lifelong commitment to solidarity work. She is currently writing a book on the Cuban Revolution from the perspective of an everyday activist.
