Content: In 1986, the Filipino people and their allies rose up and ousted the dictator Marcos Sr., ending his 20 year dictatorship of the country. This uprising is known as the People Power Revolution. 40 years later, the dictator’s son, Marcos Jr., is president of the Philippines, and we continue the legacy of people power by fighting fascism together! Marcos Jr. is set to attend a meeting at the UN to speak on women’s rights—but what would he or anyone in the PH government, including the consulate here in Chicago, know about that when women like Tita Rebecca were unprotected from targeted attacks by ICE and neglected? Join us on Wednesday, February 25th, at 6pm outside of the Philippine Consulate in Downtown Chicago to demand justice for Tita Rebecca and other migrants in detention! LABANAN ANG PASISMO! PEOPLE POWER NA! WHEN MIGRANT RIGHTS ARE UNDER ATTACK, WHAT DO WE DO? STAND UP, FIGHT BACK! RSVP: tinyurl.com/40thPPR-action
