Content: We have helped monitored the growth of this technology for over a decade with our researchers spending years filing public records requests across the country. LPL—and colleagues at sister organizations—have helped expose some of the largest stories about ALPR abuses across the country. Our team will detail key insights learned from our investigations and trace the growing public backlash against ALPRs. However, while vendors are now facing increased scrutiny and push back, efforts to reign in the technology are being hamstrung by the same actors who exploit our data.
