Democratizing ComEd - A Debrief of the Campaign

Content: Join us in person at the Sulzer library or over Zoom (RSVP for registration) for a debrief of our former Democratize ComEd campaign for municipal control of our local utility. The goals of this session will be to understand the role of ComEd as a private electricity distributor, obstacles preventing public ownership, and lessons learned in organizing the public around energy issues. This will inform future efforts to confront the devastating effects on energy and water of data centers, AI, cryptocurrency, and the gig economy.
