The murder of Renee Nicole Good proves again that ICE, Kristi Noem, and Donald Trump have effectively created a national, extralegal police force that shows no respect for human life and no commitment to protecting it. Together, we will stand against this climate of fear, cruelty, and lawlessness. Our presence sends a clear message: communities are watching, organizing, and refusing to be silent in the face of state-sanctioned violence.
We will also speak out against Trump’s ill‑advised and incoherent foreign policies that are isolating the United States and turning America into a pariah on the world stage. These policies do not make us safer; they undermine global stability, empower authoritarian actors, and betray the values of human rights and democracy that so many have fought to advance. Our protest will lift up a different vision—one grounded in justice, diplomacy, and respect for international norms.
Wednesday, January 7th, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.
All are welcome—new volunteers, longtime activists, families, and community members who are just now getting engaged. Bring signs, friends, and your passion for justice. Dress for the weather and be prepared for a peaceful, nonviolent action. Together, we can shine a light on injustice, build solidarity, and make it clear that our community rejects cruelty, impunity, and dangerous extremism in all its forms.
A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.
