Free and open to the public (with registration). Food provided.

Our neighborhood and investigative reporters have worked tirelessly to provide comprehensive breaking news and enterprise immigration coverage. We warmly invite you to The Impact of Immigration: A Night of Storytelling in Little Village, to be held Tuesday, January 20 at Apollo's 2000 Theater in Little Village.

Join us as our Little Village reporter Francia Garcia Hernandez moderates a panel featuring speakers who have been directly affected by ICE raids and who work closely with our neighbors every day to ensure they have the information they need. Speakers include:

Maria Orozco, Street Vendors Association of Chicago
Eréndira Rendón, Resurrection Project
Karina Martinez, Brighton Park Neighborhood Council
Congresswoman Delia Ramirez

Guests will enjoy musical entertainment as they arrive, with programming beginning with spoken word by LaLa Bolander and mariachi music by Cielito Lindo before moving to the panel discussion. Local vendors and businesses will be on-site selling their goods. Be sure to stop by and support them before and after the program. Additionally, you can enjoy free food prepared by Los Comales.

Block Club has been reporting on every angle of Operation Midway Blitz — but it's been tough. Now, after months of nonstop coverage, we are bringing neighbors together to pause, reflect, and reconnect to each other. We hope you can join us.
