Content: Documentary screening and discussion to commemorate Assata Liberation Day. Join us for a screening of ‘Eyes of the Rainbow,’ a documentary about Assata Shakur, as we reflect on the lessons she taught us about resistance and the need for organization. ✊🏾 Now is the time to look to our past to continue to strategize how to defend our communities against ICE terror, the war machine, and imagine how to build a new future based on people’s needs. 🇨🇺 Assata reminds us of the unbroken chain of resistance stretching from slave revolts, to the Black Panther Party, to today’s liberation movements.
