“Nuclear Roulette: 80 Years on the Brink” At LSC

Content: This year marks 80 years since the U.S. government’s horrific detonations of atomic bombs on the civilian populations of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. Since then, the U.S. has raced onward to develop even more lethal weapons, and gambled at the roulette table of global annihilation. John Lawlor of Buddhist Peace Fellowship Chicago and David Borris of Chicago Area Peace Action will update us on the need to assume the daunting task of charting a path to full nuclear disarmament.
