Content: Chicago Solar Fest will embrace the power of the sun to inspire, motivate, and educate today to ensure a sustainable tomorrow for all who inhabit the Earth. Join us for an afternoon at beautiful Montrose Park to celebrate and learn about how you can make clean, affordable solar a part of your life! There will be family-friendly solar-related activities, and entertainment including live (solar-powered) music and sing-alongs, picnicking, storytelling, arts and crafts, science demonstrations, and informational tables from groups such as 350.org, IL-PIRG, NEIS, Illinois Shines, the Citizens Utility Board, Third Act IL, PowerUp Navigators, Sierra Club, advising people about the money-saving and environmental benefits of community solar and Solar for All, as well as vendors of solar photovoltaic panels demonstrating their products. Sun Day is a global day of action on September 21st, 2025, celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy. We’ll come together to showcase the power of the sun and wind, the energy sources that can power our world without pollution.
