Stand Up for Science Great Lakes Teach-in

Posted by Andy1917

Content:

This Teach In will focus on how federal funding supports a healthy Lake Michigan, and what’s at stake if that support is cut. Our featured speakers include Dr. Rachel Poretsky, a microbial ecologist, and Dr. Aaron Packman, an environmental engineer. They will share how their federally funded research has helped improve water quality and public health in Chicago.

We will also hear from voices on the front lines of environmental protection about the current threats to the EPA and what we can do as a community to respond.

This event is free and open to all. Register at the link below.
